Jo'burg

When I created the Journeys section of my website, I had to give some thought to what constitutes a journey rather than a more everyday trip. I travel a fair bit on business, some of it to fairly distant locations, and I don't blog any of those trips, so it's not about miles travelled. Nor is it about the duration of the trip: some of the experiences I definitely considered journeys lasted less than a week. For me, a journey is defined by the intensity of the experience.

Jo'burg was effectively a long weekend break: out on the Friday, back on the Wednesday morning. But it did, I decided, qualify as a journey.

Lion Park .	.	As this was just a brief trip, I couldn't make it out to Kruger Park, but there is a lion park about an hour's drive from Jo'burg
