Every Nikon owner should buy this lens - it's that simple.
There is no substitute for a prime lens when it comes to sharpness, and the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 is one of the sharpest out there.
It is also, paradoxically, the cheapest lens in the Nikkor line-up.
Add the fantastic low-light capabilities enabled by that f/1.8 aperture, and the small size and weight of the lens, and you can see why I argue that buying it is a no-brainer.
